Agreed. I would be perfectly happy if Arthur Johnston crossed as well. It is part of the system, though I agree with Troutman that Alberta and Canadian politics could use an overhaul.
Ironically though, crossing the floor could serve their constituents well even if the voters would prefer they be represented by Tories. If the WRA hits the PCs enough times, the old party might find it in itself to reorganize into something that better represents the wishes of the people, thus snuffing out the protest vote.
Or it could go the way of Social Credit, which utterly failed to adapt to the population.
