kind of weird but i have pretty much the exact same setup (tv and sound system) and I have my Bell satellite and Blu-ray all hooked up to it.

- I HDMI'd the video directly from the blu-ray, sat box & receiver(dvd out) to the tv.
- I used the optical output from the blu-ray to the receiver sat/cable input
- I used the component audio from the sat box to the component receiver sat/cable input

You have to change the tv inputs for each device but i use a Logitech 880 universal remote. So when i select an activity the tv video outputs change.

You don't have to change the function from Sat/Cable on the reciever when using the blu-ray(ps3), the audio signal will take over when powered on.

Works like a charm!
