Well, the terrorists win again. They attempt a horrendous attack, thankfully it was unsuccessful, and our leaders decide to go into frenzy mode. They bring in these ridiculous measures to screen for bombs when checking into your flight instead of fixing the systematic problem of not sharing information with other agencies and targeting those that are the highest risk. All the information was there for them to prevent this person from getting on the plane. This man should never have been issued a VISA to begin with. Because of this failure by the intelligence agencies now we have these screeners patting down little babies and old ladies. How much money do you think this costs us? Billions? Why? Because our leaders are too scared to do what is necessary to protect its citizens properly and effectively. Instead of wasting time, money and resources checking people that are CLEARLY NOT a risk, focus on the people that ARE. That’s right, I said it, PROFILE. We can profile for people for H1N1 but we can’t for terrorism? Come on. It is time we stop with this attitude of worrying about offending people and do what needs to be done.

Rant over!!
