First off, what's the deal with starting at like 9:15?

SpikeTV shows WWF's Raw in the States, if you're flipping through the channel you'll notice TSN shows Raw here in Canada. It tends to run over a bit and while they are showing Raw, we get whatever they want to throw on.. which means commercials in Canada until Raw is over.

Being a self-admitted candyass, it's probably not fair for me to say this, but there sure are a few candyasses in this year's crowd. Talk about your quitters. Sheesh.

Being a bit of an MMA geek, look out for Canadian Rob MacDonald. He wasn't shown at all tonight, probably because he isn't a whiny baby so they didn't put any of his talking heads in. He is a big heavyweight.

The "boss" guy at the end gave them a pretty good talking-to. I mean come on, how dumb are these guys? "Hmm, I have to be 170 pounds in maybe 3 days and I weigh 190 right now. Should I do something about that"?
Maybe someone who knows more about this than me (if you know anything, you know more than me) but what is the deal with being so heavy when you've signed up to be 170? Seems pretty silly, but maybe there is a reason for it. Losing 25 pounds in 24 hours seems sillier than anything, especially if you have to get in a fistfight not long after you do it.

Some of them are probably "natural" middleweights (185 pound) and signed up for the welterweight just for the chance to be on the show. I'm sure most of them hover around 190 and cut 5 pounds or so for a fight. Last season Jesus boy Diego Sanchez fought at 185.. but he is normally a welterweight at 170.

The show was a bit of a flop tonight without a fight at the end. Hopefully it gets better.

Ya, that was brutal. I wasn't expecting a match to be on tonight, and I was excited, and then let down when wuss boy didn't want to cut 5 more pounds.
