I thought injuries always factored in, in someway? I mean if you cuff your wife upside the head (leaving no mark), I don't think anyone will press charges for that if it was an isolated incident, even if you did it in front of a police officer. Yes I know that would be very very wrong to do.
You usually have to present physical evidence (bruises and lacerations), when a domestic violence case is heard for there to actually be any force behind the charges.
A small girl can cause a lot of damage (just like a small man) if they know what they are doing.
