Okay. Apparently I not only have to post it in every thread about electric vehicles, but several times in the same thread. Studies show that even if our electricity was generated 100% from dirty coal, using an electric vehicle over an ICE car would result in a 25% decrease in CO2 due to the efficiencies built into the power generation plants.
GGG: That assumes one buys into the carbon credit system. Ask how many people here have purchased carbon credits to offset their car emissions. If I personally want to produce the lowest CO2 and am willing to pay the extra $6,000 instead of redesigning my kitchen, then I have cut my personal car emissions. Which is a "Good Thing"(TM).
