With Kyokushin as your only real skill you will get smashed. The only reason kyokushin works for those you mentioned is because they have many other skills that they can use along with karate. St.Pierre has great striking, but he also has a really good ground game, AMAZING WRESTLING, and insane strength for his size.
As for those who have mentioned how big Pudzianowski is, being big and muscular is not much of a benefit if you have very few skills. Too much muscle will almost always cause you to gas out, your muscles just require so much oxygen....
