I'm definitely not against a Jewish state or Israel in general. I just hope for reasonable concessions so the Palestinians can have a legitimate state that isnt divided and includes a portion of Jerusalem as their capital. I don't hold any rediculous belief that theres some sort of conspiracy by Jews to control the world or the middle east. I understand they're trying to live peacefully but they also have obligations to give the Palestinians a nation to call their own. Groups like Hamas, Hezbollah ect have risen out of the vacuum of true sovereign power and are raising future generations to be more militant then their parents. Its concerning that if there isnt resolution soon, this will continue for our lifetimes and beyond. I also realize the Palestinians hold a fair amount of responsibility for failed peace talks in the past. They kept hoping for more and more and it came back to bite them. Personally I think the biggest tragedy that derailed peace talks happened when Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated. That period of time was potentially the best chance for peace in our lifetime.
