Awesome movie. Truly breathtaking. I was actually leaning forward in my seat for most of the movie. The comment about how the dreaming world seems more and more like the real world is particularly fitting.

So-called experts are going to be ranting about the script or the plot or any number of things because they simply can't turn off the inner critic and appreciate something that is beautiful. More than that though the movie is different. Not everything fits within your film studies 101 model.

Dialogue is great, but sometimes it detracts from the picture. In the case of Avatar, less is more. Would a voiceover have made the astounding vistas anymore astounding? They speak for themselves.

Great movie. I left the theatre thinking 'Wow'. Can you ask for anything more?
The thing with the story though is that it wasn't bad. It is just simplistic, but from what I can remember, there aren't many plot holes. Avatar isn't a movie your expecting an awesome script though, same goes for Transformers 2, but people all want to be smug buttholes and criticize anything just to be a dick.
