Although for Tennessee to make it in their only hope really is that their 9-7 record beats out a lot of 8-8 teams as all their losses are in the AFC and a 2-4 Division record kills them in the tie breaker.

Yeah Tennessee is in tough. Houston is the team that is screwed the most. They are currently last in the tiebreakers based on all the 7-7 teams:
7. Jacksonville 7-7
8. Miami 7-7
9. NY Jets 7-7
10. Pittsburgh 7-7
11. Tennessee 7-7
12. Houston 7-7

- Jacksonville finishes ahead of Miami and Pittsburgh based on conference record (6-4 to the Dolphins' 5-5 and the Steelers' 4-6).
- Miami finishes ahead of Pittsburgh based on conference record (5-5 and the Steelers' 4-6).
- N.Y. Jets finish ahead of Tennessee based on head to head (1-0).
- N.Y. Jets finish ahead of Pittsburgh based on conference record (5-5 to the Steelers' 4-6).
