I was (and still am) a fan of Ho Won (Chinatown). And if you like things not covered in sauce, the Silver Dragon Dim Sum is also good, tasty and healthy at lunch.
Of course, if you want some truly authentic cheap eats there's Calgary court - and if you chicken out or can't eat what you ordered they have pork chops, veg and potatoes (just like mom used to make)

My best friend (who's Vietnamese,)and her family took me to Ho Wan once. Apparently that's where they go for the best authentic Chinese food at reasonable prices, and they've been to all of them. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there, until a family spat brought the meal to an abrupt end...
