I got my tickets Friday at 6PM, and the ticket machine said "tickets for Avatar sold out for all of Friday" and there was still 3 showings after 7, and I assume today was the same. I got my Imax ones so I'm not sure about normal showings. The tickets I got Friday are for tomorrow at 7PM and I'll be there at 6 so I can get good seats.
I am surprised people didn't know Cameron was Canadian, I found that out a few years ago and was giddy with joy to know the best director is Canadian.
