Well fairly simple from the Flames point of view. We needed another decent top 6 forward. With Tanguay out, Grier was playing the top 6 and really doesn't fit there. The move also allows us to have Modin and Zednik on the 3rd line. The top 6 forwards of: Spezza, Kunitz, Tkachuk, Lang, Tanguay, and Cole, when all healthy, will be mixed and matched to find a good balance.
