I couldn't have imagined a better ending, especially with the simper-bot Rita finally off the show. I can't remember the last character I disliked so thoroughly. Now the next season there can be less focus on her phone calls interrupting Dexter as a recurring plot device, and more emphasis on Deb letting go f-bombs to discomfit whoever happens to be near her.

I think Quinn is going to go into a Dexter-hunting obsession rather like Deb's obsession with Trinity. He'll spend most of the season trying to prove it was Dexter who killed Rita, and what alibi does Dexter really have? "Oh, I didn't do that, I was busy killing this OTHER guy at the time."
