My first puked quite a bit, but our second is a dream. I don't think he has puked more than once or twice in 3 months, if that. I wore my daughters puke like a badge of honor, I think you should do the same.

In my opinion, puking is caused by over eating or gas or a combination of the 2. Both our kids used to want to nurse extra even after they were full because the sucking eased the pain of the gas. Make sure you burp often, use Ovol or some other anti gas medication,and if you suspect they are just nursing to ease gas pains try giving them a soother. If it still keeps them calm then it is just gas but if they complain once they realize there is no milk coming out then they are still hungry.

Edit: My wife adds that some babies are just puky and one day it will just stop. She says you can't really stop it other than burping more often, or changing nipple types if bottle feeding. My son will only nurse with Gerber bottles, but when he uses the Avent bottles which are supposedly designed to stop air from getting in, he gets major gas. My daughter was the other way around.
