My wife just found out she has stone in her gall bladder the size of a quarter and the doctor says she needs to have her gall bladder removed. Has anyone gone under the knife for this? She's a little nervous because she's heard of some of the side effects (Weight gain, not being able to eat all foods, re-occuring pain etc) I know it is a common surgery, but I was just wondering if anyone has any advice on what to expect.
