I will chime in with the minority view that I can't stand Firefox.
I have tried it before when these threads come up every six months and don't see what the fuss is about. I haven't found problems with IE and find Firefox to be a pain in the ass to use and just as slow if not worse at times than IE.

How can you not love the tabbed browsing. It's PERFECT for reading forums.

I don't have a problem reading the forums without it and don't really like using it anyways.
As far as my computers safety I haven't had problems in the past. Not really sure what safety concerns the should be anyways. If people want to read my university papers go ahead.
