This writer is calling for Tim Finchem, PGA Tour commisioner, to suspend Woods.

Quote:
While conspicuous silence continues to emanate from Finchem's Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., headquarters, the time is coming for him to address whether Woods - the face of the PGA Tour - should be suspended for conduct unbecoming a professional.

Suspending Woods is reasonable and it's right.

One can argue he will pay the price with a reputation beyond repair. Sorry, Tiger cannot be above the game if he has disgraced the game. Correctly or not, golf has always held itself on a higher moral plane as a sport ruled by principles of honor. Has any such publicity created a bigger stain on golf? And, if so, how can Finchem not try to eradicate it?
Holy smokes is that ever over the edge of reasonable. How has he disgraced "the game" of golf?? His family? Sure....the game? Not one little bit. If that was the case then every single sport in the world has been disgraced by similar behaviour by multiple athetes in each discipline.

No question that Woods has made a series of bad decisions in regards to his personal life, but in no way, shape or form should he be disciplined by the PGA. Hell, he doesn't even work for them. If he had done something ON the course, then by all means he would fall under the scrutiny of Finchem, but he hasn't.

How this guy figures that Woods, or any adulterer for that matter, should be punished by not being allowed to work at his occupation is mind-boggling. This whole saga is getting absolutely ridiculous in its "witch hunt" mentality.
