De Haan's point totals are expectd to go down since Tavares and Parnham are both not playing with Oshawa and they are a terrible team this year. He's a solid guy who's just a solid two way skating defenceman and you can never have too many of those. He's one of the few plus players on his team.

Obviously he isn't terrible... but he's still a terrible reach for 12th overall. He's not going to be a shut down guy and unless he's scoring he's a borderline NHLer and I really question if he's got that ability to do that at the NHL level.
