Remind me to avoid working for the government in Ottawa.
Well, most disturbing was that it knocked out the workaholics. One person that HAD NOT TAKEN A SICK DAY IN TEN YEARS was out a week with H1N1. The odd thing is that the guy that I *KNOW* is calling in periodically with "mental health days" was the *only* guy that was fine through the whole month when my team had it. I myself had 3 sick days in the last 10 years (all getting my tonsils out) and H1N1 forced me out for a day.

As for nobody you know having it, PHAC does have that Eastern Ontario was harder hit than Alberta... or maybe you were just lucky.

But maybe that is where I am confused by people not wanting the vaccine. When I had two friends end up in emergency (one had to go three times due to breathing problems), plus so many other friends, co-workers and family that had this miserable flu for a week+ it just seems like a no-brainer. But if nobody that you know has had the thing, of course the perception of risk is going to be lower.
