Well, since I didn't hang up on the guy, I suppose I do have patience. What I think to myself, and what I say to the customer are sometimes, two completely separate things. I mean, a credit card isn't that big... how hard is it to find the expiry on it? He had no idea how impatient I felt. Nor did he know that as I was waiting patiently, the number of people on hold waiting to be answered was growing. Were those people patient with me after being on hold for 5 minutes? Or did they freak out at the long hold? You take a guess. Some days I'm not sure how I get through my day at work, and other days, it's a fantastic job. Sure, it's my JOB to take calls like that, but when I get yelled at for not answering a call quick enough, because someone can't figure out something as simple as the expiry on a credit card, (it's right there on the front, right under the number youjust gave me...) it irritates me. It's not myself I have to get over, it's how slow people can be sometimes...

I assume then you've never been irritated with anyone? How very patient of you.
