I haven't had a chance to actually download it and install it on a mac yet, so I'm not sure if it'll be faster than safari, which is already pretty fast. It certainly won't be slower, and in my opinion Chrome has the best interface of any browser out there; the ability to drag tabs in and out of the interface, duplicate tabs (including full history), re-open closed tabs including full history, and the way it contains any crashes within a browser and not affecting the rest of the program are the features I like most.
However, I use google docs a lot, and the lack of support for Gears right now probably means that I won't switch over to it as my main Mac browser yet.
