With the dna there is something about her's being found at the scene, but only a trivial amount. Something to the effect of in Italy it's her dna but if this was in the US it wouldn't be counted. The yanks are saying that what was found could easily have been transferred because she lived at the house. It's not a black or white thing, meaning, that the dna was there, but in such a way that it wasn't clear that she was involved (does that make sense?) The boyfriends dna wasn't there at all apparently. The sex story was also made up by the court to make a story up. There's no history at all of sex romps or whatnot going on at all. They put it together to fit the crime scene.
Not sure what the real facts and the true story is, but she's a young girl who could have been in the wrong place at the wrong time. They are also giving her an extra hard time because she's American and the translation comes across poorly as she's not a local or one of "theirs". She does speak Italian but in a foreign way - think about any foreigner speaking english, the translation isn't always there and the emotion is hard to grasp when the words aren't totally clear.
