Is there such a thing as a sale on flights to Vancouver during the Olympics? Since everyone from restaurants to taxis seems to be gouging, it appears airlines have done the same...
Back in September we booked ours using miles. The flights were all $500+, but the points programs still showed it as costing the same number of miles as usual.

I think we used AeroPlan, and my bro used AirMiles, and he said there were tons of flights available.

Anyways, it makes it a worthwhile usage of the points I think, because I can't see flights getting cheaper for the Olympics.

The tough part is going to be finding a place to stay!

Oh yeah, and if you were going to consider getting a car anyways, there are flights in February to Seattle for $209 USD on Alaska Airlines (tax incl). Factor in a tank of gas for the drive back and forth and it would be pretty reasonable. But only if you were renting a car anyways.

UPDATE: Just checked and I'm seeing flights for $266 USD to YVR. What dates are you planning for? Feb 16-23 is $266. Or 3-4 night trips leaving on Mon/Tue for that price. Not *cheap*, but I remember seeing them for a lot more.
