Looking at AC flights to Phoenix end of Feb for about $450 CDN per person return all in.

The exact same plane booked through united (as in UA flight xxx operated by AC) is cheaper. If i book on united can I still use my AC upgrade certificates, lounge access etc?

If there's a better deal I'm all ears btw. As long as it's direct. I spend too much time in airports to have stop overs on vacation.

not sure about the upgrades and lounge access, but if the flight is operated by UA rather than AC, they are going to charge you luggage fees.

When we went to SF, going down was booked through AC but operated by UA, and we each paid luggage fees going down. Coming back, flight was operated by AC, no luggage fees.

So factor that in as well.
