For human beings, good news, generally, isn't as interesting as bad news.
Sorry, that's who we are.
As such, there is a purely economic reason you do not see an economically successful news source that is only good news . . . . it's because we will not pay for it.
Nevertheless, it would be fair to say that most news sources DO have a combination of both bad news and good, uplifting news.
"All The News That's Fit To Print" is a logo on some newspaper somewhere.
My contribution will be a small, very local matter, the photo below of Keeper, named by people who eventually didn't want her, who developed cancer in her 10th year of life (2008) and, three operations later and tattered by her close shave, was a weakened survivor, cancer-free and sunnily optimistic and happy to be anywhere.
A year later (a few weekends ago), Keeper walks up Ptarmigan Cirque in K-Country . . . . she'll never be as strong a climber as she once was but she's still in the game and that's what counts the most.
