Default Excel 2007 Experts Please Help!

I am actually really good with Excel but this formula has me stumped, and maybe it isn't even possible but I am hoping maybe people on here could answer that for me before I go crazy trying to figure it out.

Hopefully I can explain it well enough that it will make sense.

Lets say on "Sheet 1" I have a list of names, with information in the row about the person. Ex.

Sheet 1:

......A.....B....C....D
1..Brian...24...6...12
2..Jeff...20...4...6
3..Billy...16...6...13
4..Bob...4...5...11

So now on "Sheet 2" I am compiling a list on these names but because these numbers could change of a frequent basis I don't have to have to copy and paste every time I have to update.

On Sheet 2 I want to have Brian's information to auto update when I update the master list on Sheet 1. Now to normally to do so you would have to put in a formula of =sum(Sheet1!A1) which would populate Brian's name and so on for the other information, however I could be having to put in this formula 100's of times.

Is there a formula that every time I input "Brian" into a column that the next 3 columns would automatically fill in his numbers whenever I use his name within the spread sheet?

Then I am not forced to write a formula every time I need to use his name.

I have search google and excel help centre for some help but can't find anything. I don't think I am explain the problem well enough for it to recognize what I want to do.

Thanks in advance for any help! I am hoping that makes sense.
