Also, sending him to the Red Sox is a death sentence for the Jays playoff hopes in the next 5-6 years. Send him to the NL and get him away from direct competition.

That's another thing, I personally believe Roy has enough loyalty that he understands that if a team is going to trade for him they're going to give up prospects, and he'll likely sign long term with them out of that loyalty. Trading with the Sox, or anyone they see regularly in the AL would mean they'd face the guy probably 5 times that year. I wouldn't do it. Buckholtz from what I've seen, isn't that worthy of a prospect to be a centerpiece of a deal.
