Default Digital Presentations - Remote or wireless mouse?

Hi all.
I am curious to get the thoughts of people who spend a lot of time doing presentations at work, etc. I don't have a computer remote or a cordless mouse, so I am often stuck beside the computer when I would rather be able to move around the room. My original idea was to find a remote that would control slide shows (mostly, but I would also like to do some SMART Board activities with it), but then I also thought maybe a wireless mouse would be better because it would allow me to do a lot more and still carry it around as I move.

Right now I would like to hear what others think, especially if your job involves a lot of this type of work. So...mouse vs. remote? Specific recommendations or suggestions? (keep in mind the budget is not unlimited and I would be looking for something simple to set up in different Laptops and gives me about 30 foot range).

Deoxyribonucleic Acid, for example... sounds impressive, right? But have you ever seen what happens if you put something in acid? It dissolves! If we had all this acid in our cells, we'd all dissolve! So much for the Theory of Evolution, Check MATE!
