Your right though, that did not make any sense. I basically have skipped the traditional southern states and have been everywhere else in the US of A.

Does your girlfriend avoid wide-open fields because she's worried about getting struck by lightning, too? That is seriously one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. Just as bad, if not worse, than the poster who said he wasn't going to eat at Asian restaurants anymore after the shooting at Bolsa.
Next time I go to Alabama I'll be sure to get pictures of the roaming bands on lynch mobs that populate the area.
