I am 22, and have never had a ticket in my life.

I am under my parents insurance right now on there cars, but I am looking at purchasing my own car.

I am looking at a 2001 Honda Civic, and the quote I got was about $1800.00.

This new car would go under my parents and I would be a secondary driver.

Anyone else in a similar situation? If so what do you pay?
Very similar situation. 19, never had a ticket or accident, under my parent's plan, and I pay $300 every 6 months, or $600 per year. I live in the U.S. and my insurance company is Prudential. Not sure if that's available in Canada, but I figured I'd throw the name out there just in case you want to try and look up a quote.

EDIT: Also, yes, of course everyone knows that 25 is the age you step outside of the so-called "high-risk" pool. Rates might drop off a cliff at that point, but don't expect to get a dip before then.
