If you want to donate to charity, go for it. I think you'd be hard-pressed to find anybody on this board that doesn't donate to charity in one form or another at some point - or multiple points - throughout the year. It's just unbelievably douchy to give something to charity in my name, then expect me to thank you for it.  |
I think it's even more douchy(to use your term) to expect a specific type of gift and then be pissed when you don't get it.
