Another thing, when it comes to wisdom teeth it all depends on your age. If you are over 25 (give or take) than you can have real problems.

My dad got his out when he was 45 and was in the hospital on morphine for days after the surgery in absolutely excrutiating pain.

It has to do with the fact that after a certain amount of time the roots grow down and adhere to the jaw, or something like that. Once that happens you're pretty much screwed.
