I'm not sure where you're getting this, but John Christy does not attribute global warming to human activities (assuming we're talking about the same John Christy). See a clip of him debating the issue on youtube here:

In one of the parts of that debate, Dr. Christy takes the rather pragmatic viewpoint that while human activities have
some impact (which I don't believe anyone on this board has argued) the magnitude of human contribution to the current warming trend is minimal when compared to other factors.
