I find something seriously scary/creepy about the Swiss Chalet one out now. The one where the dad comes to the door to take his (obviously estranged daughter) out for supper.
Its like she's just turned 18, and the restraining order that's kept her weirdo father away all these years is no longer in force or something. "Dad! What are you doing here?! How did you find out where I live? Get AWAY from me, you creep!" That's what she's really thinking.
She's torn. Should she stab him in the eye with a fork or go out to dinner with him? I can only think the only reason she goes along with him is because her therapist assured her it would be a good thing to confront her father.
The commercial is just so... wrong. Family values & Christmas harmony? Heck no. This commercial is just loaded with weirdo-pedo overtones and shows the horror of a young woman realizing that the child-abuse she thought was behind her haunts her still.
Its a very strange way to sell chicken-dinners if you ask me.
