I'd disagree adamantly with the notion that canadian beer is better than american. Out of the types I have tried, the american ones are usually better, and more numerous. Both canadian and american mass produced cheap beers are pretty comparable in lack of quality. They kill us in microbreweries though.

That said, I have had a few good canadian ones that I've really enjoyed. I am a huge fan of the Trois Pistoles by Unibroue.

I don't think that the Belgian beers can be beat, at least nothing I have had compares. My favorites among those were the Chimay Blue, Orval and Rocheforte. Still a lot to try though.

I love lists like this! Gives me a whole new motivation to go and blow a lot of money on tasty beers.
