Was using a "Today's price only". I balked. Told him I needed some time to think. I didn't sign anything, I didn't agree to anything. Not only did he call me like 4 times that night to get me signed up, but he also told our neighbours that we signed up as well.
Needless to say, we did not sign up. The kid was good, and by good, I mean disturbingly pressuring and annoying, and sounds like he lied to get sales, a true 'salesman'. I'm sure there's an alarm system that goes in, as I saw a bunch of signs go up around the block a few days later.
I've also heard horrible things about their billing to Canada. I think the company was called Alliance.

I have almost the same story. Guy came to my door in the summer, made a really good pitch and was very good at his job. Problem was everything was free until the last 5 minutes of his spiel when he started talking about monthly costs of $50+. I shut him down pretty quick after that, but unfortunately I was dumb enough to give him my phone number. I assume i gave him my phone number because last week we started getting calls from his company.
"we know you met with one of our representatives and we want to offer you a different introductory offer" yadda yadda yadda. They probably called 4 times, they were rude to my wife and they hung up on me when I told them i wasn't interested. Wish I could remember the name of the company so I could flame them, but I don't recall.
