No problem Flip... I wasn't attacking you. I thought you were being intentionally over-the-top with the "I won't watch Dexter again threats" for effect. Obviously you weren't. Simple miscommunication.
The major problem I have with the theory that it's Trinity's son (which is further complicated the argument that Trinity trained him) is that Debra survived. And Debra survived a relatively superficial wound. If it was Trinity or Trinity's son trained by Trinity, I would think there would be little left to chance (no survivors).
The reporter, on the other hand, would be an amateur killer and perhaps wanted to keep Debra alive for the interview "hero" piece she's pursuing now?
Both are likely storylines, I just think it's the latter.
