I agree it's not something to get blown out of proportion, and there shouldn't be any talk or vengence of course, that's just what people like this want - to start something. To be taken seriously when they are just a big joke.
But it never hurts to be vigilant and speak up against it when you get the chance. If we let racism pervade our culture it becomes a lot harder to get rid of when it DOES become a problem.

All that will be done is this: Extra security for a month, which will be taken away when people forget about this.
To tell you the truth, that's all that can be done. As long as these remain relatively isolated incidents you are never going to catch people red handed.
You can't go the AG headquarters and randomly bust people up or make some kind of pre-emptive strike either. Like other posters have mentioned a serious draw back to a free society is people with different ideas than you. Until the AG start making direct threats of violence they are protected by civil rights.
