I love attitudes like this. Good job, man. No sense in getting pissed off about something that isn't directly aimed at you, and that you can't really do anything about. Sometimes the best response is nothing at all. If the Jewish community were to get in the news and make a big stink about this, it'd probably lead to some other loser wannabes pulling a similar BS stunt.
A response of "meh, like we haven't been murdered by the millions before" does more to belittle them than any criminal charges ever would. And since criminal charges would be nearly impossible to get a conviction on (unles there's video evidence), chances are that these ######s will not do it again, simply because it didn't get the reaction they were hoping for. And likely, in a few years, the culprits will look back and realize how stupid their crime was.
Feels weird to condone such a passive response, since I love to rage, but in this case, I do believe you're winning by not letting it be a big deal.
