For one, Dexter has interacted with him a couple times, while the show has completely ignored the daughter and wife, makes me think he will be featured in some way in a future episode.

Two, Dexter has been so interested in the Trinity killer, because he is an example of how Dexter can be a family man and a killer. Having Trinity's son kill Deb and Lundy will destroy Dexter's theory that he can keep his family in the dark about his secret.

This.

The show is obsessed with father-son relationships as shown in Harry's code. Trinity's father beat and blamed him for the daughter's death (and later the mother's) which turned him into a sociopath serial killer.

Harry made Dexter what he is today. In more ways than one, I think Harry's telling child Dexter that he was a monster ed him up so bad that psychiatrists wouldn't have a hope. Harry also gave him the code. In every possible way, Dexter is who he is today because of his father.

Even Deb is who she is because of her father. Harry ignored her as a child because he was focused on containing 'the monster' and now she has a thing for old father figure men.

Jonah just fits in every possible way. Could be dad doesn't even know that jonah knows and jonah did it to protect his dad. Either way though, I'll be upset if its not him. It's like a puzzle piece, it just fits so neatly. (neatness is also a theme of the show, Dexter is a 'neat killer')
