It sounds like Virgin Mobile might be what you need. You don't need to sign any contracts, and it's pay as you go. I got an LG Rumour 2 and it works like a charm. I can send texts faster than my sister can on her iPhone. And I pay around $15 a month. The phone itself was about $100.
