I was always a real tree guy until I got married - especially if you cut it down yourself. I held my ground for a few years until my wife got tired of picking pine needles out of the carpet (and her feet) and insisted on an artificial tree. We got ours at Costco for a couple hundred bucks and it's been fine - 6 years and going strong.

Still doesn't compare with a real tree though. I'd go back to a real tree in a heartbeat, but I like having sex.
