Well the only teams who aren't half way thru the year yet are Denver and Pittsburgh.

So far this is how I see the NFC.

East
Dallas: defence wasn't very good in the first two games, but has been getting better every week. They have some good weapons on offence too. Look like a good playoff bet as they have a good conference record of 5-1 so far. 2 more against the Skins, plus a game against the Raiders gives them an inside track to 9 wins, and 10 could be enough to take this Division.

Philly: The Eagles still have issues on the O-line and unless they fix that I can't see them being anything more than a Wild Card team. What they do have in their favor is that a 9-7 record possibly is good enough to get to the playoffs this year.

New York Giants: Well after they got all their easy games out of the way, the real teams have brought them back to Earth. A lot of injuries in the secondary and they've been inconsistant on offence. I think they're a 8 win team as they're going backwards right now.

Washington Red Skins: It seems like every week things get worse for the Red Skins. They get a game against the Raiders, and thats really the only game left that they could win.

South
New Orleans: They remind me a bit of the 2003 Cheifs who started out 10-0 and winning largely with their ability to outscore other teams. The last 3 weeks they've had to come back to win their games (a bit like that Chiefs team did too). Eventually they'll run into another team who doesn't let them off the hook. Still they'll win this Division quite easily and won't finish any worse than 13-3.

Atlanta: Falcons losses have all been tough games on the road. Turner has been getting it going these past couple weeks. I don't think they'll win the Division, but I like them to get the #5 seed and first Wild Card and post a record of 11-5.

Carolina: After a terrible start the Panthers have shown signs of being the team they were last year of late. Delhomme is still a bit sketchy and they have enough tough games left that I can't see them being better than 7-9.

Tampa Bay: Well they'll win at least 1 game this year. The second half will be all about Josh Freeman and getting him ready for next year. Who knows if things go well they end up with 3 wins, but I think it'll end up being 2.

NORTH
Minnesota: So far I've been surprised with Farve, than again I didn't know the extent of his injuries at the end of last year when his arm looked dead. They're right there with the Saints for best team in the NFC, and they have a lot of big name game changer types. They win this Division easy and will be the 2 seed at worst.

Green Bay: They can put up some nice looking stats and numbers on offence. But what they don't put up enough of are good ol wins. The Defence too has pretty stats, but not such good results. I think they're an 8-8 team as they have a few tough games remaining yet.

Chicago: Cutler also puts up nice stats and wows you with his talents. But he doesn't rack up the wins, and thats the only thing that counts. Without Urlacher the defence is pretty suspect and the better offensive teams are roasting them. 7 or 8 wins is where the Bears end up.

Detroit: They've already won so they're better than last year. They do get Cleveland later in the year so maybe they get #2. But this team is still a ways off.

WEST
Arizona: Evidently the Cardinals would like their Stadium to be foreclosed and be forced to play on the road every week. They are the epitome of jekyl and hyde. One week they look like a team who barely lost the Superbowl, the next...they look like a 9-7 team who won a lousy Division to make the playoffs and was getting killed when they lost. They might be 9-7 again this year, and that will get them back to the playoffs as West Division champion.

San Francisco: The Niners end results show that they've been competitive in 7 of their 8 games. Problem is they've only won 3 of those. They do tend to play consistantly week to week, problem is they haven't won enough. I think things do ease up a bit for the in the second half so maybe they can make a run at the Cards for the Division. I think they'll finish 8-8 and a game back.

Seattle: Seahawks hoped to compete for the Division, but they're 0-2 against the teams they'd need to beat to realistically win it. They still don't have much of a running game and the injuries have piled up. They'll do well to win 7 games this year.

St.Louis: Well the bad teams this year have got to play each other enough that they all got at least one win. Stephen Jackson is the offence, and after him theres pretty much nothing on this team. They're in tough to win another game this year. Funny thing is that 1 win could see them tied with 2 or 3 other teams for worst record.
