So much of horror lately is bad cheese, with lots of gore and not really much to scare you with. The best horrors often are about messing with your mind and letting your imagination do the work, since nothing is scarier in my opinion.
Don't have a problem with the ending, afterwards I tried to think of possible other ideas but really what happened had to happen, and the whole build up as the movie goes along worked really well.
I'll completely agree with others who said this was a creepy and eerie film that really got in my head as I was watching it.

I haven't seen the movie (personally, I hate horror movies. I can trace that hate back to Ernest Scared Stupid. We rented that for Halloween when I was maybe six, and it freaked me out) but I've talked to a few who have, and they all say it's one of the scariest movies they've ever seen.
