There was a case a few years ago where the Legion sent a Cease and Desist to someone who was selling a hat they called a poppy hat. It was red and vaguely resembled a poppy but there was no connection to Remembrance day.
If someone is trying to use the same symbol and the same cause for profit I can see going after them. But the Legion is going too far. I support the legion, my grandfather was wounded in WWI, I have relatives who served, and a university roommate of mine is in Afghanistan right now. But things like this I strongly disagree with.
