Weird. 99% of the arguments on here pose no real solutions!! Most oppositions give no real credible solution and if they do its enacted as policy.

Lets face it if the Liberals came out today and said here is a plan to get this done perfectly and it made perfect sense two things would happen:

A) Albertans would roundly criticize it as a scheme to transfer more money east, steal provincial powers and of course cost too much money!

B) The other parties discuss this behind closed doors and it quickly becomes government policy.

(I'm only serious about point B) People should realise that a lot of question period and things like that are basically staged. The decisions are made in meetings away from the house and issues are debated there as well. More often than not the same question (less the grandstanding on both sides) has been asked and answered outside the commons.
