The welterweight contest between Mike Swick and Dan Hardy is set for UFC 105.

"I am filling in for Dan Hardy's injured opponent and will fight him on November 14th in Manchester, England,” Swick posted on his Twitter page.

AOL Fanhouse reported Monday, Sept. 28, that UFC President Dana White confirmed that the fight would serve as a No. 1 contender’s bout to determine a challenger for champion Georges St. Pierre at a later date.

Gsp himself said, September 28, 2009, he would not be able to fight before February 2010, because of his recent (UFC 100) injury.

Excerpt from Sportsnet below.

Welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre tore a tendon in his right abductor during his UFC 100 bout in Las Vegas Saturday night, MRI results confirmed Tuesday.

St. Pierre, who said he snapped his abductor muscle in the third round of his unanimous decision victory over Thiago Alves, had already been handed a medical suspension by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. He’ll be out of action until Jan. 8 unless a doctor says otherwise.

The Montrealer underwent the MRI in his home town on Tuesday to determine the extent of the injury. Even if cleared by an orthopedic doctor, St. Pierre was still under a suspension until Aug. 11 for precautionary reasons, with no contact until Aug. 2. 2009
