There's been quite a lot of cases of coyotes taking cats and small dogs in the area for the past few months, especially in the rural parts. I have a friend who lost two cats to coyotes, and a dog to a bear. I think I heard they've had to relocate 20-40 bears in the last little while around the city/city limits. The one that took my friend's dog just walked into the back yard at like 5pm and grabbed it, then lumbered back into the woods.
I say we exterminate them all
