While searching the app store I see there is another app called textender. I know that it is similar and half the price. There was no trial so I was not able to see how it works but from what I heard beyond160 is better. In beyond160 you start a normal text message and once you hit the limit if you hit the blackberry button and select "go to beyond160" it will import the msg you were typing into the application and you can continue where you left off.
I heard textender doesn't do this and you have to copy and paste the message into the application (but apparently it can be launched from the blackberry button).
To me the auto importing of the message was a big deal since I run into this problem quite a bit and that little time and effort saved was work the extra $3 - $4.
If you do get the beyond160 trial let me know what you think.
